What We Do

Relationship literacy is one of the most important life skills a person can develop.

Our mission is to educate, inform, and empower women and girls to recognise healthy relationships, understand unhealthy relationship patterns, and make informed choices based on knowledge rather than hope.

Put Down the Toolbox

By Tracy Sedman

Coming August 2026

A foundational text for educators, practitioners, and anyone working to understand the roots of relationship harm and the evidence for prevention.

This book explores the beliefs, conditioning, and social narratives that teach women to see unhealthy relationships as projects to fix — and offers a clear, evidence-informed path toward relationship literacy for individuals, educators, and communities.

He is not your project. Your life is.

We believe prevention starts long before a relationship becomes abusive.

It starts with education.

It starts with understanding.

It starts with recognising the beliefs that shape the choices we make.

Our work focuses on increasing relationship literacy through evidence-informed education, practical resources, and accessible learning that helps women build healthier relationships with others — and with themselves.

We Educate

Practical, accessible education.

We provide practical, accessible education about the full spectrum of relationship literacy — from healthy patterns to harmful ones.

We Challenge Harmful Beliefs

Changing behaviour often begins by changing belief.

Many women are taught messages that encourage them to ignore their instincts, excuse unhealthy behaviour, or carry responsibility for another person's growth. We help women recognise these beliefs, understand where they came from, and replace them with healthier, evidence-informed perspectives.

We Promote Prevention

Knowledge creates options. Options create safer choices.

Much of the work in this space begins after harm has occurred. Our focus is also on prevention. By increasing relationship literacy, we aim to help women and girls recognise unhealthy patterns earlier, strengthen their confidence, and make informed decisions before those patterns become deeply established.

We Create Educational Resources

A trusted, accessible learning platform.

As He Is Not Your Project continues to grow, we will develop a comprehensive library of educational resources that supports women, families, educators, professionals, and communities.

We Support Relationship Literacy

A life skill everyone deserves.

Relationship literacy is the ability to recognise, understand, evaluate, and build healthy relationships. Just as we teach financial literacy and health literacy, we believe relationship literacy should be available to everyone. Because informed choices begin with informed people.

Our Commitment

Education changes lives.

We cannot control another person's behaviour.

We can increase our understanding, challenge harmful beliefs, strengthen our boundaries, and make choices that protect our wellbeing.

That is the purpose of He Is Not Your Project.

To educate.

To prevent harm.

To empower women and girls with the knowledge they deserve.

Because when women understand relationships, they change relationships.

And when enough women change relationships, we begin to change culture.
